About Threat Hunters Journal
Threat Hunters Journal is an automated cybersecurity news feed: breach reports, vulnerability disclosures, malware campaigns, and threat activity, pulled from a curated list of trusted security news sources and brought together in one feed.
How the feed works
Every hour, the site checks a rotating third of its 43 security news sources — including Krebs on Security, The Hacker News, Dark Reading, SANS Internet Storm Center, and CISA's own advisories — cycling through all of them roughly every three hours. Each new article gets a short AI-generated summary and a category tag (Data Breach, Ransomware, Vulnerability, Malware, Phishing, Nation-State, Supply Chain, Policy & Legal, or Other), then joins the main feed.
Vulnerability tracking
Separately, every six hours the site checks CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) catalog — vulnerabilities confirmed under active exploitation, not just disclosed — and enriches each entry with a CVSS severity score from NIST's National Vulnerability Database. Every tracked vulnerability appears on the Vulnerabilities page; only Critical-severity ones (CVSS 9.0+) also appear in the main feed, so it isn't overwhelmed by the full catalog.
The blog
blog.threathuntersjournal.com publishes an AI-written analysis post every day, under the Threat Hunters Journal byline rather than an invented author: a daily deep-dive on whichever single story drew the most independent coverage that day, and on Saturdays a "week in review" covering the week's news as a whole instead.
Who's behind it
Threat Hunters Journal is built and maintained by a single person as an independent project. It isn't a company, a security vendor, or affiliated with any of the sources it aggregates.
Not an official source
Threat Hunters Journal is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to any of the news outlets it aggregates, CISA, NIST, or Anthropic. All original reporting belongs to its respective publishers — this site only links to and summarizes it. See the Terms of Service for more.
